Full re-roofs and one-off repairs. Slipped slates, ridge tiles, guttering, fascias and soffits. Flat roofs go on in Cromar Pro GRP, cold applied in one piece so there are no joints to fail.
Groundworks and foundations, steel, roof, then plastered and decorated. We book the building control inspections as we go, so the completion certificate is in your hand at the end.
There is usually more room up there than people expect. Dormers front or rear, en-suites, and a proper staircase rather than a ladder. Plans drawn and inspections handled.
Shop bought or made to measure in our own workshop. Windows, doors, staircases, decking, shop and salon fitting. FENSA registered for PVCu windows and doors.
Old buildings hide their problems for years and then hand you the lot at once. We find them early and price them honestly. A family home and a rental want different things, and we do both.
Skim, dry lining, stud walls and plasterboard repairs inside. Outside, pebble dash and K-Rend, which is weatherproof and comes in a range of colours.
Damp, plans and drawings, groundworks and foundations, RSJs and steelwork, internal and external staircases, handrails, tiling, flooring, fire protection, bar and shop fitting. Electrics and gas go to sparks and Gas Safe plumbers we have used for years.
A hundred tonnes of earth and rock out, the old concrete stairwell filled in, and a new retaining wall up with indian stone over the top. We knocked through for the bi-folds and put up a new galvanised staircase and gate. Seven weeks, in two stages.
Site joinery on the eco build at Forge Bank, forty passive houses and a community building for Whittle Construction. We were in for Impact Joinery on floors, first fix and timber framing. February to December 2012.
A full conversion on Thornton Road in Morecambe. Ten months start to finish, all our own trades.
Three houses on the Homes for Heroes build, alongside Kier and hundreds of other trades. We sent three bricklayers, two joiners and two labourers and gave our time. It went out in October 2015.
Brett Butler started BTB in 2000. His son Kian came on as a director in 2024.
The joiners, roofers, bricklayers, plasterers and welders are all on the books here. The same faces from one job to the next. Everyone who sets foot on site carries a CSCS gold card.
Every job gets photographed from start to finish, so once it is all wrapped up you can still see what went on under the floor and behind the plaster. Most of the work comes from customers we have already built for, or the neighbours who watched. There's a reason we are trusted.
